5 Star Service"My home is all electric, no gas, so the heat is handled in an "air handler" in the attic which includes the AC system evaporator as well as system controls. The heat went out late the week of 11/12/12. We had an appliance home warranty which should have covered this, or at least a portion of it, but that's another story. I'm still waiting on their assigned vendor's estimate.We are your Comfort Specialists!

We had used The Woodlands Heating & AC many years ago at another house and when I saw their "A" listing on Angie's list I contacted them for a second opinion and estimate to fix our system. Although we are out of their area (House is located on the NE end of Lake Conroe) they said they would help. Their rep, Brian, contacted me within the hour and said he would be here within an hour to look at the problem. He showed up on time, took a look at the system and presented me with options for repair of the existing system, replacement of the air handler, and system replacement. His explanation was clear, he was personable and professional. This was the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. I called him that evening to agree to the system replacement - our best option and he said he would contact me on Friday morning (the day after Thanksgiving) to set up the work for that day.

On Friday, he called at about 8 AM to advise his crew and he would be here shortly to start work. They showed up at about 9 and were done by about 1:30 that afternoon. They used floor covering throughout their work path, damaged nothing and did a quality job. Brian also checked out the upstairs system (we have two zones) and did a few minor things on it in the process. That afternoon I also got a follow-up call from the company to ensure everything was good and done to my satisfaction I will continue to use these folks and recommend them to anyone needing Heat and AC work. Outstanding job!" -2012

shown any malfunction during the inspection, the company replaced the valve at no additional cost." -2012  

5 Star Service"I woke up one Saturday morning about 3AM and noticed it was bit warm in the house. The fan was running but no cool air was circulating. I went outside and checked the fuses and everything was fine, but the outside unit was not running. I got on the computer [and] picked them based on ratings and called and left a message on their phone at about 4AM. I got call from them about 7:30 AM Saturday morning and they said they would be out between 9:30AM and 10:00. They were on time and fixed the unit. As I said they evaluated the unit and we decided to replace it and we did so the following Monday. I had a bad experience with the people that installed the furnace about 3 years earlier and this experience was like day and night. I have since called them to repair and replace a rental unit furnace and AC unit in our rental property. Again they did good job. Modifications to the cold air return were required and the wall opening had to be enlarged just to get the old unit out and new unit in. Before they left the wall was repaired and everything was cleaned up." -2012  

5 Star Service"They replaced a blower motor that had been replaced two months earlier by a Homeowners policy company, right as we purchased the home. They also put the wrong size fan in the outside unit. Brian said it was functioning but we should not be suprised if it does not last more than one year. Truth and honesty........that will keep me going back to the Woodlands Heating and Air-Conditioning, they were prompt, courteous and just a pleasent overall experience. He also replaced a Theromastat and checked all ac units nd heaters as well. I signed up for the CCA check for next Spring." -2012

This was impressive because it was 6:30 pm on a Friday. After looking everything over, the technician simply flipped the power switch in the attic and everything came on. At that moment, I realized I had inadvertently turned the unit off when I was in the attic putting away some boxes. There was a little chuckle when we realized this was all it was. 5 Star Service"AC went out and already had a leaking coil unit so I decided to replace my old 4.0 ton Rheem 13 SEER A/C . I needed to get quick service as my wife was 36 weeks pregnant at the time. I called around and had three different companies quote me for replacing the (outside) compressor and the (indoor) coil. With 3 quotes in hand I had to make a decision quickly (remember the pregnant wife is at home all day in the heat). Out of the three vendors, Phil, the owner of "The Woodlands Heating and Air Conditioning" was very helpful with cost options for designing a new A/C system for the house. There is also up to $1500 tax credit for systems equal and over 16 SEER rating and he factored that into the options for new systems. I decided on a new 16 SEER Maytag system and they came to install it the next day. The system was all stainless steel and looks great outside my house. The installation crew, Lee and Stephen, installed the system perfectly and took pride in their work to leave us with a beautiful, efficient system that will save us money on our electric bill and last for years to come. The company has 2 years labor warranty standard and the Maytag system has a 12 year warranty leaving me with peace of mind knowing I won't be paying for new parts in the near future. Aside from the company being highly professional, they were very personable and great with my dog Cooper. They showed up when they said they will show up and cleaned up very well after themselves. I would recommend them to anyone needing HVAC service or new installation / replacement of old equipment and therefor give them 5 stars" -2010
